Tracyann believes your face is ultimately a reflection of your internal health and emotional
well-being. Your inner health reflects in your outer beauty.

Facial rejuvenation is more than just a cosmetic acupuncture procedure. It is a holistic treatment which aims to restore balance in your whole body, and is suitable for men and woman.

Tracyann's facial rejuvenation treatment uses a combination of body and facial acupuncture, acupressure, and massage. It works by stimulating the flow of Qi (energy) and improving blood circulation which brings nutrients to the skin and muscles, and by correcting imbalances in your general health. It is designed to lift, sculpt and even out your skin tone giving you a healthy glow and leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Facial rejuvenation is a full body treatment that is tailor-made to your unique constitution. This is not a one size fits all approach.

Acupuncture facial rejuvenation is not new. For thousands of years the Chinese have known beauty comes from the inside. The use of acupuncture to slow the visible signs of aging began in China at least as early as the Sung Dynasty (960AD-1279AD). Over the last 10 to 20 years it has become increasingly popular in the Western world.

Facial Rejuvenation helps to:

  • Improve skin tone
  • Diminish facial lines
  • Reduce dark circles and bags under your eyes
  • Reduce facial puffiness
  • Improve facial definition
  • Clear up acne
  • Even out your complexion

Other health benefits

As a result of the treatments you may also notice other health benefits such as a reduction in your stress levels, less muscular tension, fewer headaches, improved digestion, more energy, better sleep and a brighter outlook on life.

Your facial rejuvenation treatment starts with a health assessment which includes a tongue and pulse diagnosis, questions to assess your health, and a discussion about what areas of your face you wish to focus on.

This is followed by a gentle facial massage with organic aromatherapy oils. The oil is removed with a soft towel soaked in warm water & lavender to cleanse the face.

Very fine needles (as thin as a head hair) are inserted gently into acupuncture points on the face to stimulate the flow of Qi (energy) and improve blood circulation. This brings nutrients to the skin and muscles, and is designed to lift, sculpt and even out skin tone.

Other acupuncture points are also selected on the body for their effect on balancing your general health and well-being.

Once the needles are removed you will receive a scalp massage followed by a face, neck & shoulder massage with organic aromatherapy oil.

Most people drift off to sleep during the treatment.

Facial rejuvenation is contraindicated for people with some heart disorders, pace maker, high blood pressure, cancer, pituitary disorders, Diabetes, pregnancy, bleeding disorders, on blood thinning medications, prone to frequent migraines, or seizures. It is also not recommended if you currently have a cold/flu or an acute herpes outbreak.

Facial acupuncture treatment is usually very safe, and done with minimal discomfort.

Very occasionally the point at which the needle is inserted may bruise slightly.

A course of 12 treatments over 12 weeks is recommended. For the best results I suggest having your first 2 to 4 treatments twice a week, then weekly after that if you’re able.

Most people start to notice a difference after just a few treatments. By about your 8th treatment the results are usually more noticeable & are starting to last. Each person responds differently depending on his or her condition and lifestyle prior to treatment.

Once the course of treatments are finished many of my clients choose to continue with 3 to 4 weekly follow up treatments to maintain their improved appearance.

The effects from facial rejuvenation are not as dramatic as with cosmetic surgery, however the results are more natural looking and the bonus is your whole body should be feeling more revitalised & radiant. It offers you the perfect solution to look your best without the risks, costs or complications of surgery or dermal fillers such as Botox or collagen.

A 1996 report* in the International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture reported that among 300 cases treated with facial acupuncture 90% had marked effects after a full course of treatments.

What I love most about facial rejuvenation is that it balances the whole person and brings out their inner beauty & radiance.
